Paul Galy is a successful third generation pedorthist trained in the tradition of making orthotics, calipers, splints, prosthetic devices and shoes for misshapen feet. He completed his apprenticeship with his father in 1965. He attended the MacMasters College in Hamilton, Canada where he completed two courses in prosthetics and graduated as a qualified Orthotist. The book, “The 4th of May: Memories of Paul Galy”, describes Galy growing up in communist Hungary post World War II. It’s a true-life story of loss, grief, trauma and the gripping struggle for survival and success.
